14 Days Of Homeschooling

Not sure of original author.  Received from one of my homeschool groups.

The 14 Days of Homeschooling

On the first day of homeschool my neighbor said to me, "Can you homeschool legally?"

On the second day of homeschool my neighbor said to me, "Are they socialized, can you homeschool legally?"

On the third day of homeschool my neighbor said to me, "Do you give them tests, are they socialized, can you homeschool legally?"

On the fourth day of home school my neighbor said to me, "What about P.E., do you give them tests, are they socialized, can you homeschool legally?"

On the fifth day of home school my neighbor said to me, "YOU ARE SO STRANGE! What about P.E., do you give them tests, are they socialized, can you homeschool legally?"

On the Sixth day of home school my neighbor said to me, "How long will you homeschool, YOU 'RE SO STRANGE, what about P.E., do you give them tests, are they socialized, can you homeschool legally?"

On the seventh day of home school my neighbor said to me, "Look at what they're missing, how long will you homeschool, YOU ARE SO STRANGE!, what about P.E., do you give them tests, are they socialized, do you homeschool legally?"

On the eighth day of home school my neighbor said to me, "Why do you do this, look at what they're missing, how long will you home school, YOU ARE SO STRANGE, what about P.E. do you give them tests, are they socialized, do you homeschool legally?"

On the ninth day of home school my neighbor said to me, "They'll miss the prom, why do you do this, look at what they're missing, how long will you home school, YOU 'RE SO STRANGE!, what about P.E., do you give them tests, are they
socialized, do you homeschool legally?"

On the tenth day of home school my neighbor said to me, "What about graduation, they'll miss the prom, why do you do this, look at what they're missing, how long will you homeschool, YOU ARE SO STRANGE!, what about P.E., do you give them tests,
are they socialized, can you homeschool legally?"

On the eleventh day of home school my neighbor said to me, "I could never do that, what about graduation, they'll miss the prom, why do you do this, look at what they're missing, how long will you homeschool, YOU ARE SO STRANGE, what about
P.E. do you give them tests, are they socialized, can you homeschool legally?"

On the twelfth day of homeschool my neighbor said to me, "Can they go to college, I could never do that, what about graduation, they'll miss the prom, why do you do this, look at what they're missing, how long will you homeschool, YOU ARE
SO STRANGE, What about P.E., do you give them tests, are theysocialized, can you homeschool legally?"

On the thirteenth day of homeschool I thoughtfully replied: "They cango to college, yes you can do this, and they can graduate, we don't need the prom, we do it cuz we like it, they aren't missing anything, we'll homeschool forever, WE'RE NOT STRANGE!, We give them P.E., life it self's a test, they are socialized, AND WE HOMESCHOOL LEGALLY!

On the fourteenth day of homeschool my neighbor said to me, "How can I get started, why didn't you tell me, where do I buy curriculum, when is the next conference, WILL PEOPLE THINK WE'RE STRANGE? I think we can do this, if you will help us, can
we join P.E. and we'll homeschool legally.

Women of a New Tribe

Women Of A New Tribe- A Photographic Celebration Of The Black Woman

It was my pleasure to be a photographed by talented photographer Jerry Taliaferro.  It is an honor to be among the 200 women gracing the pages of this published work.  The Women of a New Tribe project is a homage to the physical and spiritual beauty of the black women we see everyday.  It is an attempt to see in a new light and in a new way an incredible group of women.  For good reasons it has been called "powerful", "uplifting", and "long overdue".  This book is more than collection of photographs, it is an experience.  Those are the words on the outside back cover, and I agree.  This collection features African women who live in America in beautiful black and white photos.  This collection features 203 pages of our differences, similarities, beauty, and grace.  Amazon

He is...

'Brown skin, you know I love your brown skin I can't tell where yours begins, I can't tell where mine ends.'India Arie

My husband is the most amazing person that I know. He has been 13 years of pure inspiration to me. I admire him. He is tough, he is loving, he is kind, he is a man, he is so creative, and more. His creativity is what I want to focus on in this post. Tovijah, my man, loves to video and photograph. He then sits at the MAC and edits to make family memories. Here is one, you can find the others on Blue Nile Studios

You will need to pause my playlist before playing video. Very simple. Located the pause (||) symbol and click.

Let's Do It Again

"Trying it again", is what I am saying to myself right now. I haven't blogged in months. But I've gain new inspiration from A New Place In Life-Bren Herra,my life's journey-Gail HB,Jen and Jules-Jennifer Wells, and the beautiful women of ymib. The title Let's Do It Again, came to my head from a tune back in the day. Who sings that song, Staple Sisters, Rufus....? It was the sound track for a movie...I believe, Let's Do It Again is the title of the movie. Starring Bill Cosby and Sidney Poitier. Funny movie, chuckling just thinking about it. But who sings that song? If you know, leave me a comment.

So yes, I am doing it (blogging) again. I am not a random talker, I love to have meaning behind what I am saying, I am very passionate about my life, I love sharing things I've learned, I love sharing life experiences, so what better way to communicate it. Let the whole world hear my "voice"!
