It was my pleasure to be a photographed by talented photographer Jerry Taliaferro. It is an honor to be among the 200 women gracing the pages of this published work. The Women of a New Tribe project is a homage to the physical and spiritual beauty of the black women we see everyday. It is an attempt to see in a new light and in a new way an incredible group of women. For good reasons it has been called "powerful", "uplifting", and "long overdue". This book is more than collection of photographs, it is an experience. Those are the words on the outside back cover, and I agree.
